Cooked Rice Cereal

Rice is a wholesome and nutritious cereal grain and it has qualities which make it ideally suited for special dietary needs, such as low sodium diets. Plus white rice contains only 103 calories per half-cup serving!

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cup white rice, uncooked
2 cups 1 percent lowfat milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cook rice according to instructions on the package.
  2. Combine warm cooked rice, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir and serve.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

4 Servings, 1 cup each
